Steph, from @poshpickles, very kindly sent me a delish sample of two pickles and a preserve.

The raspberry and redcurrant jam was lovely, as was the smartly named Sa Va Tu’o’ng ot (or Vietnamese Lemongrass and Chilli Relish), but my fave of all was the salsa borracha: as they might say in castellano (Spanish to you), “drunken sauce”. Wasn’t sure if I’d done right to eat it with a steak, mind.
